Pay Per Click Advertising Can Boost Page Ranking

The search engine results page is the place to be if you want people to find out about your business. The practice of search engine optimization is the way to get there, but there is more to SEO strategy than slapping some keywords in your title and calling it good. There are many things you can do to improve your site's visibility, and PPC is one of them.

What Does Pay Per Click Have To Do With Page 1 Ranking?
Google says that their ads do not influence a site's position in the search results, and that's true, at least in theory. There's no fruit to the conspiracy theories that the search engine giant is skewing the search results in favor of the site's that pay them the most money.

So what does pay for advertising have to do with SERP rank? The answer relies on an understanding of how the search engines work.

If you've spent any time looking into search optimization, you're already well aware that links are an important part of success. When somebody sends a link your way they also send a message to Google that your site is worth paying attention to. It is even better if the links come from high profile sites that have a lot of clout in your niche.

What many people do not realize, however, is that search ads can be used to boost your link building efforts.

How to Attract Links with PPC Ads
The error that many site owners make is in thinking that they need to build all of the links to their site on their own. In reality, you'll have the most success if you can get some natural links from all corners of the web, not just places that allow you to submit your own content with a link back to your site.

Search ads are a good way to accomplish this. If your site is filled with high quality content that can not easily be found elsewhere, then reputable bloggers will naturally link to your site whenever they want to share the information they discovered on your site. Of course, they need to find your site in order for this to happen.

This is where search ads can make a huge impact. Ads are a quick and easy way to put your site in front of an audience, and an audience becomes a natural source of links. Some of the largest names in the SEO industry have search ads, even though they already rank very well. They would not do it if it was not working for them.

The key to success early on is your choice of cost per click . This is about visibility, not immediate profit. Look for keywords that get searched for often, but are not hugely profitable. This makes it simple to buy ads that cost you a very small amount of money per visitor, which is a great way to build your web presence.

Simple SEO Tips Anyone Can Use for Better Search Engine Ranking

You've built your website or sales page, submitted a Google site map, it's been indexed, and now you're checking Google and your weblogs every day to see where you rank and how many visitors you've gotten. But there does not seem to be much happening, does there?

A common misconception about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is that once you've built your website, you'll automatically start attracting visitors. Another misconception is that once your site has been indexed by the various search engines, you'll get a high ranking in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for any and every keyword you like. In reality, the process of optimizing your site for the search engines – in other words, getting ranked for specific keywords – requires you to have a strategy, as well as putting in some degree of effort.

Surprisingly, you can achieve 75-80% of the maximum SEO by taking a few simple steps when you put together your webpages.

First, you need to decide which keywords to target. Generally speaking, you will do best by choosing no more than three keywords or phrases per page (that's per page, not per website). This requires a balance between what most people in your target market tend to search on, and what words have less competition – such that you're more likely to get a higher ranking quicker than otherwise. If you do not know what keywords your prospective customers tend to search on, look at your competitors and what keywords they are ranking on. You can also look at the source code for their home page and see what keywords are in their "meta keyword" tag at the top of the page.

Once you've decided on the keywords to target, it's time to strategically include them on the pages of your website. Consider which pages should be optimized for which keywords. You'll want the headline and lead paragraph to begin with, or at least include, you are chosen keywords. After that, it's a matter of sprinkling them through a given page in the following manner …

Now consider the "title" tag . Keywords placed in the title tag of a webpage are the largest "on-page" factor for how and where search engines rank that web page in the SERPs. Other tags to which the search engines tend to give greater weight are the heading tags, particularly the H1 and H2 tags (in that order or priority). Apart from this, you want to have your keywords appear through the text of the page.

Much has been written about using a particular level of keyword density (ie the degree to which keywords appear in proportion to the entire volume of text on the page), however current thinking is that your keywords should appear as natural as possible. Excessive keyword frequency will not only turn off visitors but also raise "red flags" among the search engines. We've all seen webpages that are obviously written to include keywords. More times than would be natural. The search engines are acutely aware of the various tactics used by people to gain greater rankings and, where they believe that a site is guilty of "search engine spam", are quick to drop those sites from their indexes alike. This is not a risk worth taking!

Another thing to consider when building your website is to remove any obstacles to search engine indexing. Search engines can not "read" images, Flash movies, CGI scripts or dynamically generated pages, so while having these on your website will not necessarily harm your ranking, they will not help it either. In general, the cleaner looking the text in your source code, the easier it will be for search engines to "see" your keywords.

If you are using images and Flash movies, for example, it's a good idea to give them a file name that contains the key words, and (in the case of images) use the key words in the relevant "alt" tags .

Providing keyword word rich links between your web pages is another useful way of improving your search engine results. Remember, search engines typically index website content. In general, the more quality, topic-relevant content, the better. And of course the more useful the content, the more likely others will actually link to your site – an "off-page" benefit to search engine optimization.

Optimizing your website for the search engines involves both planning and implementation. Think carefully about which keywords to target and then carefully construct your website to make the best possible impact on the search engines. There is, of course more to search engine optimization than just on-page factors. However, it's important (and easy!) To ensure that your website is designed for maximum favorable attention from the search engines.

As with so many other things, a few simple steps can vastly improve your website performance and ranking, whether your goal is ecommerce, Internet Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, or simply increasing website traffic [http://www.improveyourinternetmarketing.com/category/ beginners /].

How to Increase the Ranking of Your Websites Through Videos

For many website owners, it is crucial to have their sites listed on the first page of SERPs. In 2010, the challenges that SEOs are faced with; is how to generate traffic with the help of videos. Let’s face it, content articles and other sorts of news information has been there from quite a long time and now what the web surfers require something new; and videos are the newest thing in the SEO market; this is also known as Video Search Engine Optimization (VSEO). Till today the video exposure was not concentrated on; but with the advancement of technology and complete upgrading of services; it is high time that web designing is carried out in a much effective manner.

YouTube link is the best way to carry out the VSEO tactics. You just have to post your video there and in the end attach a link to it which redirects users to your website; it works in the same way as an article on an article directory. Also, if you connect to users by uploading these videos on social networking sites like Facebook and Friendster; you will assuredly get additional traffic. Also, there is so much of traffic on these video sites that it will assuredly get you potential clients.

Also, do not put up videos blindly. You do require a final edition on every article that is posted, similarly for every video you have to edit it according to the way in which it is displayed on various websites. Like, in YouTube, they place a thumbnail of your video alongside your link; also this is an image which will reflect the middle portion of the content. So edit your video in a way that the thumbnail looks attractive and the users are compelled to click on it. Rules are different on various other sites so just be sure about those. Some of the sites, just put up the first image on your video as the thumbnail, so in this case, you have to get that right.

If you are counting on search engines like Google, then bear in mind that spiders do not analyze video’s, so you would have to put a small write up, something around 20-25 words which will reflect the contents of your video. Make sure to target the keywords and manage the text accordingly, you could even apply tags which will work in your favor and gather more traffic for your site.

Next, with the onset of social networking, sharing is the main stuff. So if you can also make these videos readily available as a sharing option and also for those who would like to upload them on their blogs. This way you can receive more exposure on the internet and backlinks have always worked out well for the SEO’s and websites, so in all you should sail through if proper SEO and VSEO tactics are applied.

2010, is sure to witness a splurge or VSEO tactics applied to the modern day web designing.
