Drive Traffic to Your Site Using YouTube

Make your Video

There are 3 ways to make your videos

1. Use a camcorder, then transfer the video to your computer, where you can then edit it, with the editing software that came with the camcorder.

2. Most webcams come with software that allow you to record video and audio directly to your computer, then you can upload it to YouTube.

3. YouTube has an application built in called quick capture which can directly record your video to YouTube from your webcam.

I would prefer to use the camcorder method, and then import it and edit it into my computer, so that I can watermark the video before, after, and through the video with my website url.

Method 1 and 2 will require you to upload your marketing video to YouTube manually.

What on earth do I make my videos about?

Anything you want! It could be a How-To video on search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, even products that you offer for sale.

But wait. It also could have a short movie, a comedy skit, a parody, even whats rolling around in your mind.

If people enjoy it, they will probably check out your website. That is why I recommend that you watermark your video with your website url.

So now your drawing traffic that would have never visited your site.

Drive more traffic

YouTube offers video community called groups, when you upload your videos you can sort them into the relevant groups. where you can have discussions within that group. I suggest you join the groups that fit the theme of your video.

YouTube also offers whats called video responses where you respond to someone elses video its a good way to get your video noticed, but once again, I suggest you stay relevant to the topic of the original video.

As a final note, embedded videos from YouTube that are played, are listed as a referring url, and will be displayed on the YouTube video page. This is an added bonus, as it will allow search engines to crawl your site faster, and give you a little Google page rank bonus.

Understanding SEO for Your Site

If you are putting up your first website, whether you have a business or a site that’s of a more personal nature, you need to understand the importance of SEO. If you want people to be able to find your website, you need to have a high search engine ranking. You need to make sure that you have visibility on the web. This is not easy to do on your own and many businesses and individuals choose to hire professionals who can help. If you are going to hire the pros, it’s still a good idea to understand more about search engine optimization so you know what they are doing for you.

What is SEO?

The strength of your search engine optimization is going to determine where you fall on the search engine rankings. Most people have used sites such as Google or Yahoo to look up information on their search engines. You use keywords that relate to the topic that interests you, plug them into the engine, and retrieve your results. When you receive those results, how many pages do you usually look at? Most people only look at the first page, or perhaps two pages, of results. That’s why it is so important to get a high ranking. You want to be one of the first companies listed on the search engine because more people are going to click through and go to your site!

Improving Your SEO

If you want to improve your SEO and have a better ranking, search engine optimization companies are able to help. It’s possible to do it on your own, but the process usually takes much longer. Not only that, but also those who do it on their own are not always going to be using the best techniques, and that could mean less of a ranking boost.

The first thing that you have to do is make sure that you have quality content on your site. The search engines are tougher today than they once were, and if you do not have a site that offers quality content, it is easy to vanish from the rankings. The content that you have should relate to your products or service, and it should have those keywords in it that the web travelers are using to search. Having the right keywords is one of the most important parts of ranking in the search engines. The metadata on your page is also important, and a good optimization company can help tie everything in your site together.

You can also improve your rankings with some offsite work. Adding articles about your niche, products, or services to article directories with links back to your site can be a good way to improve your visibility on the web as well as your rankings. You may also want to start commenting on sites and blogs that deal with a similar topic, linking back to your site if they allow it. Targeting marketing can also help to drive traffic to your site, which can help with your ranking.

As you can see, there are many ways to improve your rank. If you can’t do it on your own, hire a qualified company to help you.

Keywords in Your Site

I have decided to write this article about keywords, because some webmasters seem to underestimate the value of correctly written content. Search engines have to decide and refer your site into some category, sub-category, and sub-sub category (and so on, if they can). For example, if you are selling hookahs, your site will probably be categorized as "middle-east", "hookahs" and maybe some other niches.

This is done, because modern search engines want to know, which sites of those, linking to you, are from a related topic. Related links carry much more "weight" – increasing your position in search results more, than a non-related link would.

The only way, that search engines can categorize your site, is recognizing words in your site. What words appear in more percentage, what words are in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on places. So, as a webmaster, you have to realize, that it is your duty to carefully pick those words.

Titles, headers, text – it all has to be in your niche, and contain keywords, that you think relate to your topic. For example, general hookahs store will contain words like "hookah", "sheesha", "charcoals", "tobacco" and so on. According to those keywords, search engine will try to understand what this site is about, and calculate its rating. But please, be aware, that "keyword stuffing" (putting too much keywords in text) can hurt you. Proposed keyword density is about 3-4% of the text.

There is a great tool, called Google Webmaster, that helps you analyze your keyword density. Use it, and you will not have unpleasurable surprises. Here are some examples of mistakes, that could easily happen:

# 1 One of my sites had a combo-box, that allowed user to choose a country. Country list has about 19 islands "* Island" or "* Islands". This way, my site's first priority keyword was "island", and it did not have any relation whatsever to islands.

# 2 One of my sites had a translator plug-in with several pictures of different country flags. If a user clicked that flag – he would get translation of a current page. The problem was, that every flag had an "alt" tag with values ??like: "flag_en", "flag_de", "flag_it" and so on. This menu appeared in all of my pages, and had several languages ??turned on – making the word "flag" second most important keyword on my site. Bad, is not it?

# 3 My friend had a site, with several flash gadgets embedded, each one checking whether Adobe Flash was installed. This way, his 3 most important keywords were "Adobe", "Flash", "Player", which is total nonsense.

Remember to plan your site carefully, think about what keywords you want to dominate, put them in titles, headers, do not forget the "alt" tag in images (as we see from my example # 2 – they are equally as important) , check the keywords density, to avoid stuffing (there are online tools, that are easy to find, for this purpose), and get yourself a Google Webmaster panel. It strongly helps keeping track of your site's SEO condition.

Building Websites For Beginners – Tips to Get Someone to Click on Your Site

There are many sites on the Internet today that will offer you a way you can make a website to advertise your business on the Internet. Building websites for beginners does not have to be difficult, as a matter of fact if you follow some simple steps when making it you can get noticed right away. We are going to go over some important factors when you develop your new website, as well some good ideas on how to monetize your website so you can start earning money as soon as it hits the web. If you are looking for building websites for beginners you have come to the right place because I believe I was taught by the best.

Some important factors when it comes to building websites for beginners are as follows, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), word density, and finally the images you have on your website. We are going to start with SEO because this is the most important to your website. SEO is "the process of readying a website to be listed well in search engines. What this boils down to is simply relevancy.

The major search engines send out "web crawlers" they search your site to see how relevant your site is to your search terms you are going under, the more relevant they see your web page the higher rank you will get. This leads us to the next factor, word density. Word density is the amount of times a keyword should be repeated on a web page, this is usually qualified as a percentage. A good goal for example a 500 word web page would be between 2-5% word density for example. Last we have the images that you use on your website, they have to be as well relevant to your content that you have in that area of ??your web page, along with the content on your own page.

The next important thing in this article about building websites for beginners is how to monetize your web page. Once you have developed your new website now now have to advertise it on the Internet to draw attention to it, this will enable it to grow on its own. There are two ways that you can do this, the most common way is done through free methods like Article Marketing. Through Article Marketing you will write relevant article about your website that can draw your visitors attention to your site and hopefully this will turn into a sale. Although it is a proven fact that it will take about 40 people to come to your site for 1 sale.

This should put you in perspective to the amount of people you need to your site every day. So this method will take some work to get a steady income from it. The next common way for a website to achieve traffic would be Pay Per Click Marketing. In this method you would create an ad on the Internet through an website like ad-words in this ad that was found on the right hand side of the screen of a search query. This is paid advertising, by this I mean when you drive a visitor to your site via your ad you get charged every click, you want to be comfortable with this idea because if you just "wing it" you have a good chance to loose a lot of money.

Building websites for beginners is actually a very easy thing to accomplish if you set your mind to it and you are patient and do some research before you set up your website. Most of the work that you will encounter will come after you set up your website as you start to drive traffic to it. I hope this article was enjoyable and useful to you as building websites for beginners some times is a scary item to tackle though if you take it step by step and follow some rules you will be making money in no time.

How to Boost Web Site Traffic With SEO

SEO is important if you’d like to get your internet site listed at the very top of the search engine positions. You’ll have to design and write your pages not only for the client, but also for the search site spiders and crawlers. It doesn’t need to be hard and it does not need to make you rip your hair out in disappointment. By following some pointers on the way to go about writing your pages, you’ll find success with your internet site.

One of the first mistakes that most of the people make when planning a domain is they consider the whole internet site. Don’t focus on the whole site. Instead, create your landing-page with only that page under consideration. The remainder of the design will come later on. Next, reduce down your list of keyphrases to key phrases. Confirm they’re closely targeted phrases.

Remember that folk, when hunting for your internet site in the search websites, will search for general phrases, and not just keywords. After you’ve chosen your phrase to use, put it into a search website and see what comes up. This is a truthful way to test out the competition and to get a genuine look at how your keywords work.

Targeting a keyword that isn’t very popular could point you to keywords in niche markets. Fortunes have been built of niche markets in the Net community. Next you’ll be wanting to look at your meta tags. The tags are html code that lists the different words re your product on the internet page. Search sites look generally for detailed tags that tell the engine and visitor what the site is about. If there’s no tag, it’ll use alternative routes to search for info, like in a cached page of the directories. When setting up your keyword, include it twice, and make it a clickable title tag too. You must describe your info for your page with the keywords.

Be imaginative in the outline. Search websites like flexibility up to a point. Don’t overuse keywords because will hurt you with certain engines your internet site will be penalized, and drop in the search engine positions.

Ensure you utilize a header tag. Certain search websites use these tags heavily for rating the value of your website. When writing your page, use your principal key phrase or phrases right off the bat. A good inclusion would be twice in the 1st paragraph. Any other kinds of info about your internet site ought to include your keyword-targeted phrase also. Don’t think that that’s all you’ll need to do though. You are going to have to get others to note your internet site and click on to it from the SERP (search engine results page).

Continue using your keyword phrase or phrases in any text on the page. For example, if you’ve a blog set up on your website, use the keyword in your Meta tag about the web blog. You will have to submit your net page to the search websites. Sometimes the engines don’t pick up a site with the spiders and crawlers. In reality you may have to revamp your internet site with new Meta tags, and focused phrases and sub keywords. Don’t rush to do it though. First, learn if the search websites pick up your page. Often just two three weeks will suffice to determine if it’s occurred. It will take time and developing your confidence about your talents.

The great thing about SEO is that the results last. Many other marketing methods have instant but quickly ending results. But not SEO. The results may not happen instantly, but once you get them they will benefit you, your website, and your business for years and years to come. Be patient and invest some good quality time, and you can begin getting free advertising for life!

5 Steps to Improve PageRank For Your Site

PageRank is a Google concept that shows the value and relevancy of a page as determined by Googles search algorithms. Understanding the algorithm would be great – but Google keeps it a big secret.

However, through testing and research, here are steps you can take to improve your PageRank.

Step 1: Create High Quality Content AND Inter-Link Your Pages –

Ok, we have all heard about the 'high quality' content thing – but it is true. The better your content, the better your page will be seen by Google. The real gem in step # 1 is the linking to your own pages. See – each page has its own "link juice". You can share the juice with other pages by creating links to each other. So – if you have relevant content, link to it.

Step 2: Use rel = "nofollow" in any of your link tags that go to sites that do not need the pagerank boost or that you do not care to share with.

This can be used for links to mega-sites, like Yahoo, Skype, Wikipedia – honestly, they do not need the help. Save the juice for yourself.

Step 3: Create content worth linking to

I know, that sounds like 'high quality' content – but look closer. What do people link to? Solutions to problems, lists, reference guides, quick-tips, awesome photos, funny videos, etc. You get the idea. Create content worth linking to and talking about. The backlinks to your site will help.

Step 4: Get active in your online community

The great thing about the web is that you can do it all from home. That does not mean you can be anti-social. Join forums, look into twitter communities, Facebook groups, or any other online community within your area of ??interest. The more connections, the more likely your site will be considered in their own work.

Step 5: Take Action Every Day

Creating a site that is a success is a continuous work in progress. Write articles, write content, comment on blogs, visit forums, update your site – keep taking action and you will find success.

Six Golden Optimization Techniques For Getting Your Site Listed In Google and Yahoo

The basic criterion used to return relevant search results for a specific user query is more or less similar for every search engine. Websites having relevant content and appropriate use of keywords primarily in the title tags, meta tags and web page body typically achieves rankings in the search engine results pages. However on a micro level there are differences in the ranking algorithm of Google and Yahoo or any other search engine. Following are few ways of improving the search results of a website in Google and Yahoo

Keyword Analysis: Keyword selection should be based on two parameters; (A) The popularity of the keyword and (B) The relevance of the keyword with the website content.

Appropriate use of the keywords: There are many parameters that are taken into consideration by a search engine to rank a specific page. However, the presence of targeted keywords in the title tags, meta tags, anchor texts, backlinks of the webpage and headers tags (h1-h6) improves the chance of ranking high for the specific keyword query.

Page Rank: This algorithm was developed by Google to judge a website's quality. The concept of page rank is based on the promise that a good webpage will have other pages linking to it because its content has been found useful by those websites. The calculation of the page rank of a particular site depends on the page rank and relevance of the web pages linking to it.

Importance of Inbound Links: Incoming links from authoritative websites like well known media sites, educational institutions, non profit organizations, government websites and other related sites rank very high in Google preference list.Links from .edu, .gov, and .org web sites are considering to be more authoritative and relevant than others Google Page rank: Page rank is very important for Google when it comes to analyzing a website's relevancy for a keyword. Apart from it a high PR site improves the crawlability of its internal pages. The higher the Page Rank the better chance of the site to come on top of search engine listings if everything else remains the same. Directory Listings: A website should be listed in directories like Dmoz and Yahoo directory. The inclusion in a directory depends on the scrutiny of the website by human editors and thus only quality sites get listed in the above mentioned directories. Google does not have a directory of its own, so it takes help from Dmoz to generate directory results. On the other hand Yahoo directory forms an integral factor in achieving high positions in Yahoo search. Getting listed in a directory can take anything from 3-6 months but it definitely helps in achieving good positions in the search engines.
